Phew! But I think there will be more applicants compared to last yr for phase 2b and 2c. Imagine if there is no reduction in class, there will be 58/59 for the 2 phases. Won’t be so stressful. If maintain at 360, 99% can get in. Hahaha. . . . .too bad too bad.

But the stress is still there cos I am 100% sure that I need to ballot.

For Henry Park cos of reduction in class. If no reduction, not so bad. It was quite bad for PH last yr too with the reduction.

I have been so tensed up with the whole thing till it’s affecting my body. Super sian. …

I get what you mean, having been thru registration myself. Last yr during P2B registration week, the whole week I was on tenterhooks. Physically in office, but mentally thinking of the registration all the time.

I recalled for RGPS case last yr, 64 apln for 62 vacancies at P2C. Even though the chance of success is very high, it's still very sian & stressful to know that there'll be balloting. The stress is because at the end of the day, we all wanted to provide what we think is the best for our children.

Seems that no balloting required for <1km for Maris Stella.

Like what Janet says, nowadays not guaranteed even if within 1km, so not advisable to shift unless guarantee can get in. Otherwise may be left with a hefty loan and/or other liabilities and more headaches. Also, never get ‘con’ by ppty agents when buying a ppty. Many will tell you can get into XXX, XXX schools cos within 1km.

Firstly, some property agents' words cannot be trusted.
Other than Phase 1 and 2A, there is no guarantee of a place in the school. Hubby's friend 'eager' to sell off his Toh Yi flat because his child did not get a chance to go to PH...very very angry :mad:
Yah, many new condos are built near reputable schools but there is no guarantee child can get in as balloting within 1km is taking place.

Want to ask one kiasu question. Do kids studying in Glory Kindy get priority to be PVs for Pei Hwa Presbyterian? Registering to get my dd into Pei Hwa under Phase 2C within 1km next week.

No, there is no affliation (nor special privileges) between Glory kindy and PH. There will never be any affliation between kindies & pri schs. Otherwise NY kindy will be flooded.

I will always remember what the prev principal of Glory told me the moment I sat down in front of her. \"There is no affiliation to Pei Hwa, in case you want to register your son here for that reason\". My seat was not even warm. :slapshead:

Take it easy. Bukit Timah is also a very good school with good portion of the students going to IP schoool. During my dd's time, I was just planning to put her there if we miss the spot for PH. Afterall like IJJ said, you can also consider transfering your child to PH after that. Do take care of your health.

I was very worried registering son at PH back then...SAP school and the 2C stress (although within 1km was a sure-in then). Hubby insisted to try for PH while I wanted to go for Bukit Timah. After getting in successfully, my stress begain...to ramp his Chinese up.

Jus to check with expert mummies out there, is balloting conducted on last day in P2C, i.e. 29 Jul after 4:30pm or another day? I'm actually planning to do registration on last day.. hehee.. jus in case I can present during the balloting. Can advise?
