Her CCA in school is Chinese Dance and think this may be a small advantage for choosing the CCA of CL Dance in whichever secondary school she may be going.

Sorry, didn't know is a male teacher until dd told me. He is understuding now but he didn't start teaching yet, just watching how the present teacher teach.

Today, at the prize presentation ceremony, the Chairman of School Advisory Commitee mentioned something in his speech. RV had achieved SAI (SAP, Autonomous and IP) over the years. The next step is to be another I, which is Independent school, a government independent school. Not sure if government independent is similar to HCI and NYGH? If this is so, my first thought would be the school fees.

I don’t know what will be the advantages for achieving greater excellence with independence. RV is at Boon Lay, a rather common people place and almost all students come from humble background. What is the point of Independence, I wonder…But probably there is something that I don’t know.

I think there are students eligible for other schools but choose not to go because of the high school fees, environment and background. I hope the school can get feedbacks from students and their parents and also explain the need and impact before thinking of the change.

Yes, Daisyt, I was there too, and I was quite shocked to hear that the next step is another 'I'. If all IP sch have another 'I' added, then how are the students from lower-income families going to handle the sch fees?

Actually, becoming an independent school isn’t a new idea in RV. The founding principal of RV had urged the school to seize the opportunity when independent school concept was first introduced many years ago.
