Hi there, I am balloting under P2c. May I know if the unsuccessful applicants in P2B get to ballot again in P2c with us? Very anxious now that it is getting closer to the balloting day, holding my breath and keeping fingers crossed!

They don't get to ballot again, but the PVs get priorities should anyone decide to drop out later on.Sxm10109:

Read your blog and saw that you (used to?) reside in Australia so I'll assume that you've lost touch with the P1 priority process here and will try to be specific.
For this yr registration, all P2B applicants within 2km got into PH unscathed (did I hear loud cheers from Toh Yi Drive?). This fri balloting is for P2B applicants residing > 2km away. Based on last yr's trend, there will most likely be balloting for P2C applicants within 1km of PH. If this happens, those applicants staying more than 1km away will be automatically out (no chance to ballot); which implies that those unsuccessful applicants in the earlier P2B will not be eligible for balloting even if they apply again under P2C (since they're staying > 2km away).
Just to close the loop, let's take the case of MGS. As in previous yrs, there is balloting for applicants < 1km for P2B. In their case, those unsuccessful P2B applicants will still be eligible for balloting in P2C since they are within 1km of sch and we know that balloting for P2C under 1km is definitely on the cards.
That's the gist of it. It's not as complicated as it looks. -

Just curious, hope you don't mind me asking. If you get selected for PV and decide to shift, why only shift within 1-2km? Why not within 1km?Hi all,

The idea is, if you're cool about the whole P1 registration process, that's fine. But if you want to be kiasu by volunteering and then relocating (that's what I did), then kiasu all the way. Don't give chance. That's the advice other parents gave me and I see the wisdom of it. -

Why the Doubt .... On Your Choice of Sch? :?
I am not doubting my choice but just hoping the choice we made as parent is the right one for our girl. My wife is the old girl of that school but that was donkey years ago so we are just wondering. Anyway from what we have researched and read about the school so far, I think we have made the right choice so far.
