What is the weather like in Melbourne during Nov/Dec?

It can be quite cold still... about 15oC.

Hi All, need your advices on the accomodation.

I am planning for my Melbourne trip this coming Nov. We have two adults and two small kids (2 and 3.5 yrs old). For accomodation booking, can I book a triple room (1 queen bed + 1 single bed) or a One-Bedroom suite?? Because my youngest likes to sleep with us, will be wasted if taking the two-bedroom suite. When doing the booking, do I need to mention clearly \"how many children\" and \"their age\"? Will they make \"noise\" if I only declare only 3 sleepers?
A lot of homeworks needed for travelling with kids ๐Ÿ™‚

        Thanks....
You need to declare as it is a FIRE regulation... Pls DO declare upfront, even if charges are imposed.

Consider Melbourne Short Stay Apartments... they are good, clean, very easy to sort food out by cooking simple, and HUGE.

Hire a car, bring the kids out for 3 days at a FarmStay about an hour and a half out... worth the effort.
I did that with the kids. Lovely place.

Itโ€™s close to Summer but can be quite cold as itโ€™s further down south. I was there in October few years back, the weather is good, just a long sleeve shirt is enough for day. But at Phillip Island, it was freezing when we went for the penguin parade. The same goes to GOR too.

Just make sure you bring enough warm clothing for the little ones. For us, we like to stay in cottages/apartment that has a washing machine, so we get do do our laundry as and when needed.

I'd say the same thing as Blessed Homemaker...

              Melbourne is great for kids!
Do bring a really warm windbreaker jackets as you would like to go to the Great Ocean Road, or Philip Island... the latter would require you to stand around for a couple of hours as dusk hits... and the wind by the beach is non-stop freezing cold.

On a good day, you can go out in T-shirt, berms and slippers.... and in the afternoon, if it rains, you need a jacket already!
              It's like that.

Laurimar Glen Farmstay... google to find their new website.
                  I got their number...

Do tell Eric and Janet hi if you get there...
We were there before the huge Mebourne fire in Jan 2008... it was freezing that week, adn 3 weeks after we left, it was burning - literally.

It is a real working farm... most dun have pick-up service.

What you do is you rent a car... the rental companies may pick you up. And then you rent the car and drive out. Few perculiarites in Melbourne include that in the city centre, to turn right, you have to be in the left lane. Observe well when you get into the city. Other things include a ERP toll system around the highways surrounding the city centre... find out how to pay the toll from the rental company.

                      2010sunflower,

CALL Janet... from what I know, there was not internet in the farm, and in the house, your mobile phone has almost no reception! I had to step outside to SMS.

There are plenty to do in Melbourne... time constraint now, more later.

                      Cheers!

                        Hi MadScientist,

Janet has replied to my mail. May I ask did you take their meal package? They are charging $60 per adult and $30 per child daily. I think it is expensive. Are there any eateries or supermarket nearby the farm? Did you depart Singapore after the farmstay? If yes, how did you get to Melbourne international Airport? Thanks
