'Lucky you' , saved some $$. In the ballot 3 yrs ago, I bought the NY history book which cost around $35! But I was so happy then, so just buy buy buy.. . After that, realised that my niece, who was in NYGH, had the same one at home :slapshead: .

Yes, was there this morning at MGS.

balloting took place inside Conference room.
was with my friend.

two weeks ago, during P2B balloting also on a Friday, she was one of the unlucky 4. all P2B got in except 4 of them. She was unlucky! She cried, very disappointed, low in spirit.

this morning, her daughter's name was ... one of the last few to be called, somewhere near the bottom of the list of 35 vacancies.

the atmosphere was very tense, esp. towards the last few places.
each time after drawing out 5 names, the officer in charge will announce how many places left. When shook hands to congratuate those who got in, their palm and fingers were icy cold, very nervous !

Thank God she got in this time. That's all that matters.
God was kind indeed ! PRAISE GOD!

otherwise, really at a loss ... dun know where to send her girl to.
not sure about the other 3, carrried forward from P2B into P2C today.
hope all got in.

I was curious to find out of these 12 - how many PRs eventually got in ?

once a name is been drawn from the transparent fish bowl tank, the parent walk to the front. This lucky parent then ‘pass the luck’ onto someone else next. She dip her hands into the ‘Toto’ fish bowl tank, draw out the next new name. Then pass the slip of white paper to the balloting officer in charge.

The officer opens up the slip of paper, flash the contents containing the child’s ballot id and name, onto the big overhead projector. However, the slip didn’t indicate - is the child a SG citizen or PR ? So, couldn’t tell.

actually the slip of paper besides containing the child’s ballot id and name, it should also contain info - is it SG citizen or PR ?

no reason to do that. it will only create alienation and unhappiness. it is already a very emotional situation. things can get out of hand.
