2) How long is the entire renewal process? Does it take the whole day?

You cannot use own digital camera. You also cannot bring her to nearby photo studio to take her pics. The pics MUST BE taken at the embassy. This is the requirement.

I recalled it only took us around 2-3 hours to get everything done. But I was quite KS. I got all the docs ready, ask maid to head to photo taking while i go to main office to take the queue no. Collection was fast.

Do ensure that you wear proper clothes to the embassy. Eg. no shorts no slippers.

Not sure about Nets but it's good to ensure you have cash to cover all the expected expenses.

I am also planning to renew my maid this or next week. Will the queue be shorter next week since school holidays will be over ? Any advice?
BTW, my maid’s friend (also a maid) renewed her passport last month and photo was taken at a studio , she said no problem.

Any other employer had their maid’s picture taken elsewhere besides the embassy and passed?

BTW, there is no parking at the embassy right?

Many years ago i remembered i parked in a nearby paid car park but spaces were limited.
