Just need to get used to it lor... constant grinding is not good for the teeth in the long run.

My 6-year old grinds her teeth everynight during her sleep. Checked the internet and it says they may outgrow this habit as they get older.

Can anyone whose child have been through this share with me if your child outgrew it without treatment?

Most children do grow out of the habit, but others do not. Grinding teeth or clenching teeth can be painful! If your child continues to grind his or her teeth at the age of 12 and up, then you should look into getting a night guard (One-Size Fits All) -- which will protect their teeth/jaw.

I just purchased my 15 year old a night guard from TotalGard .. a custom night guard sounded to intrusive and expensive.

My four year old had been grinding her teeth in her sleep since the beginning of the year. I sure hope that she could outgrow it soon.

Just think about it for a moment : You are physically and intellectually punier than the adults all around you and utterly dependent upon them for your bodily and emotional survival. You have precious litlle control over your life. All the big decisions and many minor ones are made for you. As a rule, you're expected to do what you're told, regardless of what you might want. Frustratingly, you often don't even know what you do want. The world around you might be full of wonders, but it also reveals itself to eba place full of unfathomable terrors. Unfortunately for you, you lack the experience to know which is which. The more you learn, the more alarming it can all seem. Your body keeps changing size and shape at an unpredictable rate, and you find yourself at the mercy of poerful waves of emotions that can completely overwhelm you at a moment's notice.

And to top if off, you speech ability (or lack of it) just does not allow you to express what's going on in your head and heart. And the adults around you just don't get what you say, neither do they know how to read your body language.

I too have heard my grl grinding her teeth sometime this year , not that many a time but at least 3 times shes 9 plus.

Wondering any parent with child grinding teeth while sleeping? My 8 year old son grinds his teeth at night. It is terribly loud. I think his teeth is getting "shorter". Does wearing a mouth night guard uncomfortable?
