Hi, would like to share that i just installed the wired cctv last sat cos i could not cope with the wireless configuration 🙂

I should say the quality is so good that i regret i din install earlier. Not only monitor maid but also make sure my son is doing his homework.

Btw i have a month old Dlink 930 wireless IPcam to let go if anyone interested. Only used for 1 week to test and give up after that.

Have to say that it was very easy to install but the configuration part was
      a nightmare.

Please note that MOM has asked employers to remove CCTVs from maids' room. Check out my blog :

i agree it is a tad too much to install cctv in the maid’s room and toilet (if any).

What were these employers thinking in the first place. Installing CCTV in the rooms of the maids.

installing CCTVs in maid's room and in toilets is wrong... it becomes infringement & Violation into personal privacy, violation of human rights! .

toilet is where ... people strip naked, bathe, wash private parts, undress, change underwear, change panty, bra, pee, pass motion.

maid's room is where ... she undress herself, change into a new set of clean clothing.

                leading to dangerous consequences ...
imagine if the maid's boss is a man, or if there are any male occupants living inside the house (eg: can be your husband, your son, father, father in law, uncle, etc).

if any male occupant staying inside your house happen to lay hands on CCTV, happen to play back the video contents, then hide inside his bedroom secretly continue to watch how the maid strips naked, how the maid bathe, it becomes like .... watching an RA movie sneakily. This is dangerous!

Unknowingly, you are turning your home into a potential scene of crime one day - for any male occupant staying inside your home to rape your maid ( including enticing your own husband, your son, etc), esp when the house is alone one day, except for 2 of them.

I can't believe that people even think this is OK - how would they like it if there was a camera in their bedroom?!

I do know of someone who had installed CCTV in his own master bedroom. The CCTV camera can be switched off locally.

My helper’s ex-employer had a CCTV cam in her (helper) room. She said it was very inconvenient but she grew used to it. She asked me why I don’t do the same!
