      Hi,

The school, TAS is still around. The fact is their response will be delay. I think if the call is not pick up, it will divert to their adminstrator phone and they will revert to you once they are available.

        Hi all who replied me,

Thanks, got it! Will check out more on TAS and also need to see if their schedules fit ours. Glad to share in this forum as I’m a mum to both pri & sec boys. Cheers!

          Hi purple05,

You can also try to call their Bukit Timah number. If you cannot get through, you could leave an sms. The Bukit Timah number is 90615592

Actually, they do not do that much memorisation now. Maybe for certain parts but most of it, they get them to build tension line and to ‘show’ what is going on. My ds keeps saying it is very fun especially with some of the funny compos like the frog compo.

I think tas does not stick to one method, once they find the children can grasp the style, they move on.

                  Hi SP Mummy

Have not heard of Maria Grazia Learning Hub. However, a friend of mine recently signed up her two kids at BrainFit English Classroom at Parkway Centre and said that the teaching method they use is good. They use worksheets, computer online game training and use of trampoline to reinforce language learning for each session.

Will be bringing my kids there for a free assessment.

                      Hi,

I would like to ask parents more about the above centres. I noticed this trend. In the past, when my older sis’s kids were in primary school, the centres that she talked about were KRTC, Mavis etc, I did not hear her talk about Stalford but they seem the same ‘type’. They bring in experienced teachers to teach at their centres. These centres seemed popular then but now that my kids are in primary school, most of my friends or forummers seem to talk about centres like TLL, TAS, Jan& Elly, ICL etc.

I am quite confused, my sister says Mavis, KRTC more established but it seems that nowadays they are not so popular. What is the difference really between these 2 ‘types’ of centres?

My children currently have no tuition, they went to ICR when they were younger
but now they have no tuition and I would like to get them started but am at a total loss as to which centres are good.

Not sure about some of the centres but it is true that Mavis was popular in the past.

I am not sure how it is now. KRTC still seems to be around. Maybe you need to go down
to ask, go for trial lessons and compare. Also ask your friends for feedback. I trust
friends’ feedback much more than adverts and what I read on the forum.
