hi worriedmumz,
Yes, there’s one or two with white cover. there are other series in brown colour (kemit series, libbit series, whatever). -
hi cheetian,
DS1 is being taught by an undergrad, but her lessons are engaging and she’s very encouraging. So I have no qualms about continuing with her, and would hope that if DS2 goes there, he can get her (or someone like her). -
And, DS1 had to miss class some time ago, and had a make up session under another teacher. Was a good chance for him to try someone else…result? he still likes his usual teacher.

My child is at Bukit Timah under an undergrad. I have no prob with her, her lessons are interactive, she is very dedicated too. Sometimes when I have questions about synthesis, I will email her my queries (to tas email) and she will personally reply them.
I have had experience with experienced former teachers who while they have the knowledge, they are not that interested to teach and help my child. (This was when my child used to have personal tuition under such a teacher). Grads or undergrads, the more important thing is their attitude to the class or student they take. -
Hi,
I have signed up my kid for 2012. I know the TAS parents workshops are for TAS parents but I heard that they have a free parents workshop on getting your child ready for SA2 as part of their community service programmes. My friend is not sure of the details. I would like to attend, does anyone know the details of this? -
I would also like to find out more abt the workshop. I am non TAS parent. It’s open for non-TAS parents?

The workshop should be for non TAS parents too. It is part of their community service programmes that they hold in a church. It is for Children’s day and the children will have some fun activities and a photo journal competition, I think there is some science concept learning as well. There are christian bible teaching though as they do the educational events free for the church. If you do not mind, then it is great fun and learning for the kids. I brought my kids for their last children’s day event and there was also a workshop for parents and the kids had a writing contest.

hi coolit, thanks for the info! my DS2 is currently with TLL (P3) but i have been thinking of transferring him to TAS next year, after reading the good reviews in this forum.
may i ask where did you get the info for this workshop? i tried browsing TAS website but couldn't seem to find any info on it. Thanks in advance! -
Hi firefly 38, my child also in TTL P3 this year. Hearing of so many good reviews so tempted to consider TAS. But can anyone advise which branch is better?

hi CHC123, if we do sign up with TAS, it will be with AMK Branch as it is nearer to my house. your child is DS or DD? mine is DS and he is attending TLL on sat afternoons. maybe my DS and your DS/DD are classmates!
btw, any reason(s) why you are considering a change? for me, its the costs, distance and DS' progress, which is not much at this moment (but to be fair to TLL, my DS only joined in june this year).
