KTKLN for indo maid?

Your maid came in 2009. Why you need to renew her passport so soon, since the passport valid for 3 years? I am going embassy tomorrow to renew her passport as her passport will expire this December. I will ask the embassy about this KTKLN. Any question you want me to ask for you, since it's quite difficult to call them?

chan, he passport expired next year Feb, but since i need to extend her work permit for 1 more year, her passport validity has to be longer than that, else the work permit validity will follow passport expiry. so i extende her passport for the next 5 years. i will call my maid agency to ask abt the KTKLN later will update herr if i have any question ya, Thanks so much for being helpful

called agency, they said they din do for my maid… said if want to do can, charges $200. i asked if now she did not have, then when her WP expire next year, she will go back for good, then still need to do ? she said no need. unless she wants to come back here again, then need to do…so i guess unless she wants to come back again next year else i no need bother this ?

I just come back embassy. I have also asked the embassy. I told them my maid KTKLN expired this December, but she is only going back for home leave next December. The young girl in embassy told me that my maid can just do it next year when she go for home leave. It is okay although expired.
At first, I thought going Batam to do this year, but since the embassy say no need, so I will just leave it for next year lah. Maybe by the time, she decided not to come back

May I know which agency is this?
I called up a few agencies but they said maid and employer have to go down personally to apply for it.

I just wanted to share my experience here and hopefully, anyone with similar experiences can share with me solutions.

My grandmother’s Indonesian maid is currently stuck in Indonesia because she doesnt have the money/does not (seem to) want to come back.

It’s pretty much the typical maid story - Maid requested to go back (contract not up yet) to settle family issues. Her husband had an affair and wants a divorce. She has a 5 year old daughter and some minor properties so she wants to have it settled. We gave her 10 days and she was agreeable. She still has a part of her pay (SGD 130) with us as a form of assurance. She was still contactable right up till yesterday - we waited for her in the airport in vain, only to find out from Garuda airlines that she was denied entry at Semarang because she does not have her KTKLN and has to pay an approximate 750,000 rp (later i was told 500,000 rp) for it.

My mum called up the agency prior to maid leaving but we were never informed of KTKLN. In fact, I called up today to ask and check if they issued KTKLN for the maid and they seem clueless when asked about it! The lady i spoke kept insisting that it is not their responsibility said that we should have checked with embassy (which we did but were not informed as well!)

This is so frustrating for my family… Just wanted to share my experience here…
