So far, heard things gotta be restore from backup after upgrade.
all the apps you have are now in iCloud after the upgrade to iOS5, so you have to bring it down, that is how i interpret it, after i done mine without any hiccup -

you should ‘just do it’
you can also go to apple website to figure it out -
Just use itunes to update it lor…
It will make a backup of the iDevice, then clear everything, install the new iOS, then restore the Apps/Data back to the iDevice Automatically w/o user intervention…
Somehow, after updating to iSO5, I got difficult Syncing the photo album… always got missing albums… need to try a few times to get the album correctly populate the iPad Device…
But the Sync over WiFi function seems quite convenient… No need messy wires anymore… -
Don’t have any problems so far, though DH was complaining the iPad’s a bit slower.

Has anyone updated iOS5 on their 3GS? Am wondering if it will slow it down a lot.

love the new features like notification centre (though still has bugs) and able to use ipad while syncing.
missed my 1 swipe to toggle wifi on/off -
It’s a good operating system with new features, easy to upgrade

My mom did. Her phone wasn't exactly fast before, so i don't really see the difference. I have some friends that don't recommend it as yea, the speed. -
I tot now is the IOS 5.0.1?
At least the iphone 4 s has that.
