From what I read from research, she has potential of ard up to +10cm from 142cm within 2years from first menses ie by when the bones will fuse and given tt her menses start a bit early. So by end next year ie Dec 2012 she should grow up to 152cm. So yes you have to ascertain if the jab gives her value add beyond that height. I understand your position ie why you go for the jab. Which parent doesn't wish their kid can grow to a good height. My advice is you also let her sleep early like 10pm, exercise, drink milk, protein intake and maybe supplement with the peanut root soup etc. Be careful of mixing jab with Chinese herbs though. Catch this critical period and at least you have done your best for her height. All the best and wishing your DD a good height! :please:
My DD is 11 this year. She started her menses end of last year. Since doctors said girls will not grow too much after they had their menses and she was only 142cm at that time, no choice have to put her on the jab. So far, no side effect on her. According to my doctor, there won't be any side effect and is safe as long as is a prescription from doctor. As for me, I am getting uncomfortable with this because the amount spent doesn't justify the result.

I read that your DD is P6 so her period came P5. She probably has one more year to grow a few more cm before her bones fuse, thereafter height growth is very minimal if any. You can refer to earlier pages. I have also summarised in above post ie some KSPs subscribe to Chinese herb theory ie peanut root soup, tian qi soup. Other ways : drink milk, sleep early and sleep a lot, protein intake, exercise etc. Just don't miss this golden period (pun unintended). Once missed, there's no way to grow much further. -
My girl is only 2 yr 6 mth old. She has 2 growth spurts this year. She has grown abt 10cm in past 10 mth or so. :rahrah:

She stands abt 80+cm or so. She can finally wear some 2Ts, depending on the brand.
I haven't cooked peanut root soup cos it's very hard to find at local market. -

Hi!My daughter is on the growth hormone jab for 6 mths till now. She did increase her height by 2 cm during the 1st 2 mths and nothing happen after that..zzzz...It is a very expensive treatment about $700-$1000 per mth. The most heartache part is that I find it very difficult to handle that stupid device used to jab her. Most of the time, the growth hormone don't seem to get into her body. I am considering stopping this treatment because money spent yet no result!
Heard Ma Kuang has the treatment for this height growing during puberty, anyone tried this??
My ds started Growth hormone therapy end dec last yr. Grown about 7cm since then. He is coming 6 yrs old. Yes, agree it is very ex. What device are u using? I'm using cool click 2 now. Pretty easy to use. If the GH cannot get in, it's wasted money. U should check with the supplier or the nurse and how to use it. One drop is $10 leh. U need at least a yr to gauge the results. Coz they grow in spurts. -

Based on u and your hb's ht, her potential ht is 156cm. -

For a gal, it’s (father’s height-13+mother’s height)/2. For a boy, it’s (mother’s height+13+father’s height)/2.
This is the formula given by my boy’s endocrinologist. Factors such as diet and nutrition etc will affect the final height. -

He's the shortest boy in his K1 class. But my mum said boys can catch up during puberty stage. He's a also a very poor eater. Based on your formula, he will be short
