How does this compare to last year?

If I remember correctly, last yr during the open house talk, the VP said about 60 places taken up. Any parent attended the talk last year, please correct me if I am wrong.

those given CO may not have opted RV ultimately. i am sure many have CO from a few schools.

160 and 60 is a big jump. Iam not if it is because RV is more relax or more students are applying. If all factors remain the same and the psle T-score distribution curve remain unchanged, RV COP maybe at least 2 points higher.

Justsay, for 1st choice, my son chose 3 sciences + geography. I wasn’t very comfortable with him doing 3 sciences because he is not the hardworking type and his HCL is not good. However, he says he finds the 3 sciences interesting, so he wants to have a go at it.
For 2nd choice, he chose 2 sciences + biomed elective + geography.

Was at the RV open house as dd was peforming. P said from next year onwards, the school will operate as RV-A and RV-B as there are too many students to manage. Both A & B will have different principal. However, present P will be the overall P and be overseeing both A & B.

One parent asked base on what criteria the students allocate to A or B? The P said is allocated randomly.

Don’t need to worry…He is just saying that he is allocating one vice principal to focus in management half of the school and another vice principal to focus in managing another half of the school. This is not uncommon in large organisation. Is just how he organises in the management of the school. Nothing new and certainly you don’t have to worry that in future there is will be two RVs for psle students to choose. That will be confusing.

My son got 250 and interested in nan hua. I m thinking of RV as first choice (last yrs COP was 253). He did not do HMT in PSLE. His Chinese is not strong but he managed A. He said RV 80% gals. Hope to hv some views on 1) Risk of putting RV as 1st choice 2) Will he be out of place due to Chinese in RV or Nanhua 3) How about his chances if ACS Indept is first choice instead of RV? Appreciate. Tsss.
