After the menses, try giving her tang kwei chicken soup to replenish the blood. Also can take bai fong pill. Daily, take evening primrose or fish oil pill as this will lessen the blood clots and thus less cramps.

Hi, mummies. My P5 DD just had her 1st Menstrual yesterday !! What can I do to reduce her cramps ? I used to take painkillers myself but I think she is too young to take my kind of painkiller . Do anyone has any kind of treatment, pls help....

shurley, does ur DD drink cold drinks? If yes, try to cut down, especially when its near to day 1 of her menses. This cutting down of cold drinks was mentioned by TCM to my mom many years ago.

Thanks.leo. She was banned from cold drinks since day 1. But did anyone remembered how long did your girl had menses for the 1st time. My girl had for 8 days and still not clean yet although much lesser and I think should need 2 or 3 more days. NOrmal ???

Thanks, Pen88n. Can take all in 1 mth ?? Or 1 mth take bai fong pill, 1 mth take evening primrose ? Some asked me to make \"Ba zhen tang\". Very blurred, because, I never take all these myself before.

I take bai fong pill on alternate days when I don't have menses. Nothing wrong with taking it everyday too. I took it everyday during O level period. Just that I have limited supply so try to save when nothing important at stake. To me, it is very effective because I won't get any cramps if I had taken bai fong pills the month before my menses. This eliminates the need for evening primrose. Sometimes I forget to take bai fong pills, then I'll get cramps. I will try to take evening primrose pills a few days before my menses, but if I forget to do that too, then no choice. Suffer cramps and only take evening primrose to soothe the pain. It does help relieving the pain a little.

I started taking evening primrose around 13.

Buy the menstrual cramp chocolate drink for you @ watsons or guardian. I think quite effective for little girls 🙂

PMS normally means hormonal imbalance. Did you suffer from constipation? It is usually toxin buildup and not enough nutrients. My helper use to have severe pain during her menses, I got her to do a 7 days cleansing using Herbal Klenz and just take easy to digest food such as fruits, yoghurt, vegetable soup. No starches or meat. After that she no longer feels pain and the menses just come without any symptom. Period in healthy girl should not be lumpy but clear blood. Ginger drinks is good. Supplements helps too. Take care.

But I dun know why her menses is not completely clear yet nearly going to be 1 mth already. Although these 2 weeks is just only sometimes brownish, sometimes a small patch of blood for the whole day. Was it because I gave her 田七 soup?

Hi Shurley, like one mum said here, try evening primrose. It's not an immediate solution to the pain but after about a month or so, she will feel much better. You can start with 1000mg in the morning with food and another 1000mg at dinner time. Always get good cold pressed quality.

As evening primrose is a fat soluble supplement, it works better with food.

In the meantime, gently massage her tummy with lavender massage oil to relax the muscles which in turn, may ease the cramping
