This year we will be doing things a little different. We will be ordering popiah and DIY at home!
wah... so interesting. Can share your lobang for popiah? Wonder if they make and deliver for CNY 1st/2nd day. My mom is thinking of catering for our relatives. -

We are going to Soup Restaurant. Better book fast if you want to get a good timing and location.

Good choice, I had it for 2 reunion dinners before at changi airport t3. I think by now they should be almost, if not full already as I had to book more than 1 month in advance previously. -
Ramen for reunion ? :scared:
very un-traditional.

Yup, I don't like tradition.Ramen for reunion ? :scared:
very un-traditional.
People should be free to do what they want, and not be bound by tradition, they should enjoy tradition instead. I grew up in a family where my grandparents placed lots of emphasis on tradition, at the expense of my parents' marriage. -
personally, I prefer to follow some traditions. It is part of what I am and I would like my child to grow up knowing & following them as well.
Following tradition doesn’t mean we can’t be flexible and reach compromises. -
It’s always steam boat for us but fil uses his chopsticks to pick food from the pot directly. Told him umpteen times to use the net but he’s not listening. Now, using the kids as an excuse, I will pick the raw ingredients and cook them over the stove but eat at the same table.

Haiz , haiz , i have similar kind of problem. End up i normally just quickly eat a bit before the whole pot is touched too much and stop. -
just wondering wouldn’t boiling water in the steam boat be hot enough to kill off any gems?
