Yes, I was concerned about the authenticity of the story also. Have questioned him a few times over a few days but we still have the same story and scenario, so I believe it should be true. His experience with his buddy and some older boys were good and I think it was only that handful that are up to mischief. Have told him to inform teachers if such thing happens again.yes kaka2, I agree. Please ask your nephew to inform the teacher about the incident the next time something like this happens. Then they can act on it immediately. Ask him must remember the boy's name from the name tag on the uniform. If don't know the class never mind. But must remember the face too. Then at least the school will be able to run through the name list to find the kid as well. This is the 1st time I am hearing of something like this happening. Am really shocked. Then again this should be investigated to ensure its authenticity just in case the story was made up as your nephew was afraid of getting a scolding coz he lost the money.
My son's previous experiences with the older boys have been pleasant; they have been kind to him showing him around the school and even assisting him and bringing him to the general office when he fell and hurt himself. -

Hi,
My nephew is from P1 Sincerity. He is happy with school and has been telling me about his day since he spent most of his time at my house. Maybe I can share what happened the last week.
He takes school bus home and eveything was fine initially until he was pushed off the seat and ended with a scar on his forehead plus some nail marks on his body. Of course another incident was the same boy pulled his hair and refused to let go until his other friends helped him out. I told him not to sit next to this boy in future and not to play on the bus.
just last fri, his mum gave him $5 to buy his sch diary. But he accidentally dropped it and the wind blew it a distance away. He ran to pick it up but a bigger boy picked it before he could reach and refused to return it to him. This makes me wonder how is the discipline in school.
My nephew is a tall boy but timid and shy esp when it comes to speaking english cos he is not fluent in it. But am suprised that after 2 weeks of sch, he actually order his own food at MacDonald!
Though taking up Art Expression but he is eyeing to join Badminton. There's a trial this Fri.
My son is in 1 SIY too. I'd be concerned if that happened to him. The bullying could cause long term impact.. And the part where the bigger boy took his money is just plain hooliganism. Can he recognize the boy? Should inform the teachers. If he can do it so blatantly to your nephew, he will do it to anyone. Should report him and save the rest of his would be victims.
Badminton is by external contractor and have to pay right?? My son was interested too but I can't make it.. My other son got soccer practice.
Yah, we can't make it for the badminton session also since he is having catechism lessons on Sat in Church. Are they allowed to change CCA in P2? He was hoping to take up the CCA in P2 since it was not offered for P1. -

I told your story about the school bus and the $5 to my P2 son and this is is response.

Re: school bus incident
How come the boy was not buckled up in the school bus?
Re: $5 that flew away and taken by older boy
He thinks that the older boy have brought the $5 to the general office to get GP2 stars. Heard general office gives GP2 stars for found items to reward the boys for honesty. These stars are accumulated on a class level and it's like a competition. I told him then the boy is not very good, he should just return the money to the young boy instead of trying to earn the GP2 star, right? To that he replys that there are many times when things are in doubt. Maybe the older boy did not see the money fly from your nephew and was in doubt as to whether it really belonged to him. He said that your nephew should have followed the boy to the general office to get the money. Try asking your nephew to go to the general office to inform them that he lost the money on a certain day and see if they have records of it. Then again, it may be too late.
I gave the above scenario to my son to tell him that if he gets bullied he should always remember the name on the name tag of the boy. The surname is also important. hahahaa... then we can track down the boy and lodge a complaint if necessary. He told me that generally all boys are nice so far to him. I did ask if the boys are naughty in his school. He said the older boys are more noisy but he doesn't think they are naughty.
Sigh.. maybe we think too much? It's just usual since we are not there to witness there is a possibility that we let our imaginations run. The older boy could really have brought the money to the general office for GP2 stars since he wasn't sure that it really belongs to your nephew. Kids are just so innocent. -

Yes, I check my son's homework either every night or every morning before he goes to school. There are just too many boys in Morning Star for the teachers to check and ensure that everything is done and done correctly. They are only there to guide if there are queries and to take care and esure the safety of our kids after school.Agree. Every week there must be something for us to buy.
I just buy the things which are needed.
Morning Star mummies, do you check your son's homework when they are back? -

I only want to find out what happened or what he did to the $5 or was he lying. haha... There are many possibilities and being a 7 year old child, descriptions could be very general. oh, so they have this award for honesty. So if he lost something in future, will tell him to go General Office to look for it.
Being boys at this age, I think having some mischief is acceptable and perhaps would add some \"spices\" to their lives and ours too? As long as right guidance is given. this is how they learn right? hahaha... -
Hi eetsc,
Thanks for the detail. Now I can ask my boy to go to the general office if he lose anything. Hahaha… He is ultra blur.
But my son’s school bus does not have seatbelts leh. He once fell from chair and got a big baluku on his forehead also. But I didn’t wanna confront the driver lah. Wait he angry and take revenge on my son. -

I thought that there's a ruling that all school buses must have seat belts? Why don't you contact the school bus operator to check instead of confronting the school bus direct.Hi eetsc,

Lost items:
Anything lost in the canteen is left on the shelf in front of the canteen. Anything else found elsewhere is redirected to the general office. -
I think only certain bus sizes have seat belts. Will peep at the bus when I send my son on Monday. Then call and ask. Skali have and I didn’t notice or they didn’t put it on.
