What are we asking here? In the name of free speech and we can hide behind keyboard and type anything we like? That's the problem with internet. People can post things without being held responsible. This lead to irresponsible postings, statements and comments and worse, maliciously generate rumors. MSM can't do that, you published an article, you are responsible for it. Owing to this, they are careful in what they report but it is being taken as favouring the establishment.
Can't we just be slightly more objective?

Better that he should have come clean early to quell speculation. The not coming clean damaged his image beyond rescue. Also, there is really no question about his privacy or that of the said women to address. What was needed from him was a simple denial or admission as fact of what he was accused of. A 'no' or 'yes' would have sufficed, no need to invade privacy. This would have stopped all further talks & speculations on the subject matter. See how by not coming clean, this has ended...? YSL should have known the implication if he got tangled to 'non-family friendly' activity, as majority of us still can't condore maritial affairs etc. On the other hand, i believe WP had done their calculation, they will still hold hougang, as they still have a few good candidates to be fielded. PAP will field their potential ministerial candidate too to increase their chances. Hence, it is a win-win for singaporean in term of getting a better candidate thru a by-election to serve us.
