there is \"tilted drum\" machine now that offers the water saving and heated water functions of front loading, yet convenient to use like a top loading.

PS Everjoint, Etronin and Paris (Parisilk) are names of some of the \"discount\" stores for electrical appliances

Yea, go to Best/HN/Courts and check the specs and size then order fromone of the above...guarantee cheaper!!

Etronin have 2 branhces, and one is more exp!! They will quote over the phone too but check everything such as freebies, delivery, warranty (extended if needed) etc

Am I the only one here that buy home appliances from those proprietor owned electrical appliance shops?

For years we have been buying my home appliances, from fridge to LCD TV to videocam from a shop along geyland. So much so that the owner recognise us and give us very good price and usually same day, if not next day free delivery. Even the 2 guys that do delivery recognise our address

Thus, I ony shop at best denki & harvey norman to determine what to buy  and not shop to buy from them.

You're lucky then. I don't live near such shops. However, we have 1-2 furniture shops like that and we have bought from them before.

The first washing machine for my own home was bought from HN. It was a display set so we got at least $200 off. About 10 years later, this top-loader (can't remember the brand) was still working but getting noisier and we didn't want it to suddenly break down and leave us stranded. (My mom's machine did that during the spin dry cycle but luckily, she could haul the clothes downstairs to use a neighbour's machine to finish the last step.) So we went hunting again and HN was having a roadshow with an offer on the one we wanted, so we took it.

                  ....

                  me neither.

We chanced upon the shop while eating at Katong (where they used to be) and made our first purchase. Since then we have shifted 2 times all around Singapore and the shop once. We were never near.

                    Hi,

I swear by Electrolux (front load).

A suggestion - If you decide to use Parisilk, you may want to call up the Bedok branch and ask for Larry. He is v obliging.

We have been Larry's loyal customers for more than 10 yrs. Bought all our electrical items from Parissilk when we moved into our flat.

And yes based on the above suggestions, do look ard and once you have decided on your model, then contact them.

                    Happy hunting πŸ˜„

                        Hi there,

Sometimes you can check with harvey norman or courts for the prices, i did encounter buying a new set in neighbourhood shops and end up got a display set from them. You cant really notice when the set come coz the packing looks original but when i drop by the shop again, the display set tat i saw had gone. After talked to them, they said had told me earlier which i didnt hear from them. Disappointing and must be very becareful if u buy at neighbourhood shop. Sometimes it might be 50 or 100 more to get in shopping mall but at least they promise genuine and new set. Tat’s my opinions so far.
