pls help, don’t understand how to do this

Ray and Jim had an equal amount of money. Ray spent $85 on the watch and Jim spent $189 on a camera. As a result, Ray had thrice as much as money as Jim had left. How much money did each of them have at first?

        thanks in advance

Totally agree with you, I have also learnt a lot in this forum.
Even though my DD1 is in P2 this year..I try to make time to browse questions in higher level subjects to learn myself..

Nothing is same as what we learned previously..so need to upgrade myself before teaching my own daughter πŸ™‚

Agree, as a working mum I not only need to upgrade myself at work I need to uPgrade myself in school work too. Btw, does anyone knows how many types of models must a P3 child must learn for the whole year?
