May I know whether RVHS requires all students to take higher Chinese? Do they allow students to take normal Chinese if they find they cannot cope?

For that matter, do SAP schools allow students a choice to take higher Chinese or normal Chinese. I have read through several threads and cannot get definite answers.

Yes. All students in RV must take a subject called Higher Chinese and Chinese Culture. They also need a score of B4 and above in order to be promoted to the next level.

Can anyone please advise us on the CCA requirements in RVHS? Heard from a RVHS student that it is a requirement to take two CCAs - like one performing arts and one uniform group. Not sure if we hear it wrongly. Anyone who knows the details, would appreciate if can furnish some information. Thank you very much.

That's not true at all. CCA trainings are twice or 3 times a week, not possible for students to have 2 CCA.

As for DHS, ALL pupils take HCL.
However, there are some SAP schools which offer a choice of HCL or CL.

In DHS, if the pupil could not obtain at least a C at the end of yr2 ( in DHS, No C5 or C6, all grped under C)
He / she would \" be forced \" to drop HCL and take normal CL in yr 3.
Same condition applies to end of yr3.
