I had that during Cny period. It's ok but definitely not like I remember the kl one to be. That said, I just tried the one at kong kee (geylang lor 31)....ummm, lacked wok hei. Won't be going back.
Nobody tried and reviewed the KL Hokkien Mee? The fat noodles fried with black sauce??? -

Wasn't it very crowded during CNY? I saw a long queue for lunch. Gave up and went somewhere else.

We tried the black (hokkien) noodles a couple weeks back . The noodles were precooked and left in the wok to sit . By the time it landed on our plates, they were somewhat soggy and steamed.
Taste wise - the sauce a little too salty for my liking.
Personally, I liked the Penang prawn noodles best :boogie: -

We ate the Hokkien Mee and was truly dissapointed... I didn't know that it will be with black sauce.. Well, at first we were like, \"Ok, might be Malaysian style of cooking\" but... nothing's really special. Just fat noodles with black sauce....
truly disappointing... I have to try the rest of the food there though -

IMO, the Geylang lao mu ji (i forgot which lorong, in btw 13-17) KL hokkien mee better than the RWS and Kong Kee. Both of them the dark sauce too thick...

You're not from KL is it? But yeah, it should have some other ingredients as well, and there must be \"wok hei\". Slightly charred parts give extra taste. We ate the Hokkien Mee and was truly dissapointed... I didn't know that it will be with black sauce.. BTW, RWS got free lunchtime parking. 12pm - 2pm weekdays only i think.
For real Malaysian food, go to KL lah… this place is meant to earn tourist dollars and it’s the only affordable food place around RWS. So dun raise your expectations too high. -
It’s just an alternative cheaper food option for visitors to the resort. Else don’t even bother. Expensive and portion is small. The food is good but not worth the raves. Typical food court theme food.
