        Hi,

The best weather should be before June as after that the sea sports might close due to the rough sea, but it depends on what type of activities you intend to do. I went there last year Dec. There was no sea sports, but my 2 kids enioyed the place so much as it has lots of other actitivies that would fully occupy us during our 5 days stayed. The food was nice and service was fantastic. It is a very relaxed place and the best thing is no planning is required, just book the accomodation date and the ferry timing online, make the payment and all done.
I used to be the travel planner for all the holidays we went as we like free and easy. The hotel reservation, itinerary planning and logistic planning were all done by me which was rather tiring. That’s why I appreciated Club Med Bintan so much and planned to go other Club Meds.

I understand they have a list of planned activities for the kids and the parents will be able to enjoy their activities in peace.

Hopefully, the weather will be good in Jan and my kids will enjoy. 😄

Hi...i had wanted to bring my teen daughter to Club Med - Phuket but now concerned about the flooding situation in Thailand plus the hygiene aspects. Therefore the other option is Club Med Bintan.

Anyone been there (Bintan) in December, is it raining everyday?

I was thinking that it is good for teens to just amuse themselves with the club's activities (they do not enjoy doing stuff with boring parents anyway) and parents can do their own thing.

Feedback about your experience in Bintan appreciated...

I have been to club med bintan twice, and enjoyed ourselves doing little. If you are concern about the rain and choppy sea in Dec (the ferry ride there will be choppy too in Dec so, prepare motion sickness medication), and concern about hygiene in Phuket, there is always club med Bali to consider too. Cherating at this time will experience the NE monsoon too.

Went to club med Bintan Dec last year and it was fun. All foods and drinks were included (except hard liquor). Every night we enjoyed the entertainment so much coz it was soooo funny.... 😂

We are planning for our next club med trip at Cherating maybe this year end. Can anyone share how the place there? How is the room condition (air-con with concealed concret ceiling)?

Cherating is on East Coast of Peninsula M'sia which experiences the NE Monsoon in Dec.

                    Hi,

Depends on whether you would like to go for sea sports. The sea sports will close from Nov to March/April. I went to Bintan Clubmed twice, Dec and April. Dec weather was cooling, but the sea was rough, thus only stayed on for land activities. April weather was humid and hot, but sea was calm and suitable to go for sea sports.

I went in Sept for 3 nights. it was not too crowded (they get lots of visitors in June and Dec). The sea conditions were good. Weather was variable, rained on first and last day we were there, but sunny the rest of the time. I thought it was a great time to go.
