All About Math Olympiad Training & Questions

Hi,Anybody can help me pls.My son is in Pri3 now.I am intrested in sending him for the Maths Olympiad examination.I herad that Maths olympiads is being conducted by different instituitions at different time.I am not sure about how to enrol for it.Need your help.Thks

Hi, may I know why you are sending yr son for the maths Olympiad exam. Is this going to help in his Sch work or PSLE? Cos I am also looking out for some courses to help my son in his maths. He just need some expert help to solve problem sum easier.

Hi, Maths Olympiad is a generic name for a category of academic (maths) competitions. You are probably referring to the common ones like
http://oas.highsch.nus.edu.sg/NMOS/ and
http://www.hci.sg/aphelion/apmops/

Many centres (tuition centres, etc) offer training courses for maths olympiad at primary school level. You will have to contact them directly.
The more commonly known ones are mathoasis, mathshub, learninginteractive, etc.

unfortunately the 80 marks of RIPWMC is not the same of 80marks in SMOPS, their style of questions are very different

Me : what is the highest ?
Son : 100
Me : what is the lowest ?
Son : 80
Me : 98 is ranked how far from the top ?
Son : may be around 10??!!

hi parents i do have a recommendation for a tuition teacher who is specialise in teach 1 to 1 on olympiad maths…definitely would be useful for your child

7:30 am registration (Kah Kee Hall at HCI)
8:30 am competition starts
10:30 am competition ends
10:50 am lunch, talk and tour
2:30 pm seated at Cheng Yi Lou
3:00 pm prize presentation
4:30 pm dismissal

You need to know your group number and index number. Better check with the maths teacher or HCL directly.
