Thanks beetlewill for your feedback.. My DS is also in P4 this year. May I ask what's the fees and timing for P4? Thanks![/quote]Fee works out to be ard $65 per lesson for a 2hr session. You may want to call the centre to check on the classes available. Check out their website for the contacts at http://www.xfq.com.sg . My DS is in their Fri class at 5.15pm.
Hey Jav.... sorry for the late reply.... was busy with her holiday projects....beetlewill:

Teacher play equal if not more important role than the contents. May I know which teacher is good there? And which level your gal is currently in?
My daugther is with Mrs. Lina Ting and she is P4 this year. They are a few teachers there and all of them, I was told, have many years of teaching experiences. Different teachers have their own styles and methods to gel with the students when come to teaching. I like the regular feedbacks from the teacher esp so when my gal is not performing in certain areas. This helps me to followup with her progress at home. Apart from the
teachers, the centre's curriculum helps as it is pitched much higher than the normal school curriculum. There is also regular tests and as well as Math Olympiad style questions being exposed to her to better prepare her for the 'killer' questions that may appear during the PSLE. I am glad that my gal always tells me that her school teacher likes to use her work as a reference.
Cheers.... -
Thanks beetlewill, once again, for your prompt reply

Who are the teachers who are good?N.Lo:
Does X-factor Quotient benefit average kids-scoring about 70plus to 80..
Well it depends..... Different schools have different standards and also whether the 70plus to 80 is due to carelessness for the marks loss or genuinely having problems with the questions. -
hi,
I was browsing the forum and quite some time now and I thought itβs only fair that I start to contribute. Honestly, I have found many useful information through reading the postings in this forum.
I was with x factor quotient since they were opened in June last year. My eldest child was with TLL under her teacher decided to leave. I managed to find out that she was starting a centre of her own with another teacher and thus decided to join her centre then. I must say that my child has benefited from her since P1. She has been an excellent teacher, giving constant feedback on my child progress as and when itβs required. As for my second one, I intend to enrol him into their pre P1 class which will be starting soon. Hopefully this will give him a good headstart for his P1. -
Hi,
I am looking for Maths and Science enrichment at p5 level. Is these 2 subjects the forte of X-factor? Appreciate your kind advice.
Regards. -
Does that mean X-factor and TLL math is taught in the same way?

There are a number of Maths teachers there. Could you advise who is this teacher? Can advise? Thank you. -
hi,
Sorry... was busy with the kids.... their activities really drain me dry.
Usaik : they started off my their math program. As for the science, I understand that a male teacher is incharge. You may want to check on their website at http://www.xfq.com.sg. As for math, they have teachers for different levels. They also have teachers who specialised in the GEP curriculum. It is best that you call the centre to check on the vacancy as well as the timing.
Laurenwkids : for my case, since my daughter is still with the same teacher, I can't say for sure both centres teach the same way. I personally feel that the curriculum for both centres are pitched higher than the curriculum in school. So the factor that decides will be the teachers.
I strongly recommend that you call the centre to find out more.
Hopeful mum -
This centre gives me an impression that their focus seems to be on Math rather than Science. Any parents with kids enroll their child in their Science programmes? Any views?

I think every enrichment centre here has its strong hold. As they grow, they hope to provide a one stop service to parents. At the end of the day, we, as parents, will have to decide what is good for our kids.
