My friend with Eczema had visited the Skin Centre for years but doesn't seem to improve his condition. All they do is give him paraffin and steroid if the condition is really serious. He just started using this product: Eucerin: Soothing Lotion 12% Omega and It seems to help lighten the red rash.

But still doesn't cure it completely yet. =(

I would say it's Worth a try though. As it doesn't contains steroid and is really moisturizing.
You are right that they don't cure and they never will. They are only applied on the external to treat the symptoms.

If he doesn't apply then the eczema will come back because the deeper problem resides in him, not outside him. The toxins and acidic waste needs to be removed and the pH of the body be balanced. Our body can heal on its own if it is given the right environment within us.

Ask your friend to change his water and witness for himself.

I believe the reason why the occurence of eczema flareups increase as we get older is due to our immune system getting weaker.

Apart of making sure what we eat/drink are healthy, we must also sleep well and exercise well.

Recently I sent my daughter, who has eczema for many years, to this skin doctor. She gave my daughter to apply steroid cream 2x/ day for 2 weeks And switch to apply to a non steroid based cream for 2x/ a week for another 3 months. Took zrytec for 10 days.

Doctor gave Cetaphil bath & body lotion which can’t be found in guardian.
Doctor also said the trick is to try to break the cycle. Hence, it is important to apply all medications even the rashes are clear.
I am trying out this cycle on her. Will see if it will be gone?!

My dd used to have eczema patches on her thigh and behind her knees. Was quite bad. Sometimes very red, sensitive, and looked raw. Seemed to get bigger each day too. So we apply egoderm too. Also experimented by changing her shampoo and shower gel until the patches are gone. Now just continue with the shampoo and shower gel, and also apply some moisturizer.

I would say be careful on the steroid creams! They are really strong and can make the skin quite \"raw\" and after the skin heals, may cause the skin to be more tender and thin.

Cetaphil is easily available at the retail pharmacies, how can the doctor tell u it is not available outside? It goes on regular discount as well.

Yes, it is important to break the cycle, but if there is an ongoing infection, which is common in prolonged cases, it will come back again very quickly. I hope that this works for your child, but if it comes back again and is even worse than before, you need to take her to another doctor that will separate out the treatment to address bacterial/fungal infection, while also addressing the itch. And if it still persist, consider underlying allergies.

In our case, we had to remove allergens, and treat the infections. There were areas of the skin that never ever flare up again once the infections were cleared with antibacterial cream and anti fungal wash, which means the earlier doctors were wrong to treat those areas with steroids. There are areas that recur and was only helped by antihistamines, and those areas are linked to allergic eczema with secondary infections. The good news is once the infections were cleared, I could help him get through a reaction with antihistamines instead of him scratching himself raw.

Agree. That's what my doctors always warn us about. Anyway, most if not all are trained to use drugs to treat symptoms and not other forms of method to remove cause of the skin problem or other diseases.

What kind of water do you use? My son also has ezema. I tried Hyflux filter but didnt help. For sometime, I also bought bottles of mineral water for him instead of drinking boiled tap water, didnt help much.

I am not surprised that they didn't help. They do not have the properties that the water we are using has.

We use Kangen Water produced from a continuous electrolysis water generator that is manufactured by Enagic. It's licensed as a medical device by the Ministry of Health of Japan. For almost four decades, it's been used in 250 hospitals and clinics in Japan to help patients recover from all forms of sicknesses and diseases.

check out the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uib_LGrfZHc

Do keep in mind that not all ionizers are made equal. Only Enagic's ionizer is endorsed by more than 6500 doctors from the Japanese Association of Preventive Medicine and endorsed by the President of the Ionizer body in Japan.

I will be glad to help you and your son and share this technology with you. I can also let you try the water. It's free. PM me so that we can arrange.

Yes, I have 1 Enagic leveluk machine at home and I have sponsored a few to buy 1 after they have seen the difference it has made in my life and the lives of my loved ones.

It's not really expensive, considering that it is a medical product used in Japanese Hospitals to treat patients. Yes, it is owned by many millionaires and top ppl, that's because the worlds top cardiologist, who's clients includes the pope, England queen and president obama have been recommended to drink kangen water.

I calculate it to be only $1 per day, given that the product lasts 15-20 years. (Medical Grade product, hence can last that long).
