      clioclio:
We are moving to within 1km of PLMGS by end of this year.

Want to ask if the chances of getting into PLMGS thru Phase 2C is high? <1km...
      under Phase 2C
      2006, 2007: balloting occured within 1 km.

      but (2008 to 2011):-
less than 1 km - no ballot.
balloting occurred for (1 to 2) km.
      outside 2 km: no chance

      http://www.payalebarmethodistgirlspri.moe.edu.sg/wbn/slot/u1768/Documents/Statistics%20-%20for%20school%20website.pdf

      2012
remaining balance of 21 seats from Phase 2B brought forward, making
      Total (82 + 21) = 103 seats available, for Phase 2C.

      http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/vacancies/#hougang

      2011 had 106 seats under Phase 2C.

for plmgs, normally no balloting for less than 1km for phase 2c...but i wonder if things will change coz the school is going single session next year right... will the intake be lesser then

If PLMGS is transiting to single session in 2013, the number of vacancies reflected in this year's registration should give a rough gauge on the intake number that the school can support after the transit to single session. 😄

That being said, I guess the school reserves the right to reduce or increase the intake number based on whether they have the resources to support? 🤷

if the school confirmed enter single session, perhaps write in to school (PLMGS), enquire if 2014 P1 intake will reduce number of classes.

if school reply is Yes :-
then based on past years trend, very high chance for < 1 km in Phase 2C to ballot. School email is [email protected]

I am going to join in the fray in 2013 too...first child born in 2007...

I registered to be PV for PLMGS last year but received email from them--rejected. I am beginning to feel stressed. We r moving to within 1km of PLMGS by end of this year.

generally speaking, within 1km of PLMGS should be no prob. My daughter got in 1-2km but phase 2B.

The vacancies left from P2A2 are divided equally between P2B and P2C.

For example after P2A2, there are 80 vacancies, it would mean there are 40 vacancies for P2B and P2C. At P2B even if there are 80 applicants, they cannot "touch" the vacancies under P2C. The applicants will ballot or not able to ballot depending on the number of applicants per home to distance rule and the SC pirority policy

Those who are unsuccessful in P2B can register again under P2C. But if applicants more than vacancies then the home to school distance and SC pirority policy kick in again

There are SAP primary and secondary schools.

My dd1 is in a primary school that's SAP.

You can find out more about SAP and the list of pri and sec SAP schools from the below link http://www.moe.gov.sg/media/press/2008/02/enhanced-programmes-by-special.php
