The vacancies left from P2A2 are divided equally between P2B and P2C.

For example after P2A2, there are 80 vacancies, it would mean there are 40 vacancies for P2B and P2C. At P2B even if there are 80 applicants, they cannot "touch" the vacancies under P2C. The applicants will ballot or not able to ballot depending on the number of applicants per home to distance rule and the SC pirority policy

Those who are unsuccessful in P2B can register again under P2C. But if applicants more than vacancies then the home to school distance and SC pirority policy kick in again

There are SAP primary and secondary schools.

My dd1 is in a primary school that's SAP.

You can find out more about SAP and the list of pri and sec SAP schools from the below link http://www.moe.gov.sg/media/press/2008/02/enhanced-programmes-by-special.php

If you or your husband is a Methodist Church member, your daughter will be eligible to register under Phase 2B.

You do not need to be a Parent Volunteer as both are in the same phase. All you need to do is to get the church to certify your membership, before you come for the P1 registration.

you may write to school confirm this.

The letter for church membership is issued by the Pastor of respective Methodist churches. The letter has got nothing to do with Methodist primary schools. Schools do NOT issue any letter, for Phase 2b hopeful. It is the Pastor who issue letters, not the school.

However nowadays, Pastors of most Methodist churches are strict in issuing letters - to prevent abuse of any Tom, Dick or Harry hurrying to church last minute, in the hope to get that important letter. Some pastors can even hold back the issue of letters to certain members.

Different Methodist churches have different set of criteria, example: different minimal time frame required to join church, before their Pastor willing to issue such letters.

Some church require you to join cell group, some no need. Some church require you to participate actively in church, some no need at all. Hence, there is no common general rule for all churches. Thus, it is best to go back to your own Methodist church, find out from the Pastor himself directly. He is the best person to advise you.

for PLMGS, normally no balloting for less than 1km for phase 2c...but i wonder if things will change coz the school is going single session next year right... will the intake be lesser then ?

here is PLMGS official school reply:-

                        Dear mummies & daddies!

My elder boy is born in 2007 as well. We are returning Singaporeans with a "homeless" status, hence we are quite mobile to settle down near our choice school. We are looking at ACS (Junior) within 1km, can anyone share with me what’s the chance? And may i know what are the benefits (any affiliations) of this school?

                        Thank you!
