Her flip-flops in court has also turned her into a 'hostile' witness, n prosecution has applied to recall her to d stand for cross-examination. Double whammy!

phtthp:
how come need so many bodyguard (7 big, strong men) to escort C slowly get back into her car, after court session end ? Some of these bodyguard look flabby (don't seem to be fit leh) - how to run swiftly fast to nab \"bad\" guys?

in contrast, the accused (Ah Gay) doesn't have a single bodyguard to escort him ? :?
He just walk down the flight of steps himself, back into his car awaiting.
Bodyguard no need run swift to nab bad guys.

Flabby can block more bullet, knife, punches etc can already.

Imami:
what is impeachment means?

Means an official suspected of illegal acts in the course of duty and if convicted, he/she may be removed from his/her post and charged under criminal or civil law.

Impeachment in her context as witness means d judge can rule dat her testimony in court be thrown out.

Her flip-flops in court has also turned her into a 'hostile' witness, n prosecution has applied to recall her to d stand for cross-examination.

Double whammy!
Does the Singapore court have such thing as \"瞄视法庭\" (undermining the court) ? Seems like CS is giving inconsistent statements and fooling around in court.

me don't see it as her fooling around in court,
but more of a deer caught in d headlights n she not knowing which way to turn.
She has to be careful wat she says when d prosecution re-examine her on d witness stand.
If she now contradicts d statements she gave to CPIB, she opens herself to be charged for lying in her police statements under d Penal Code n also cited for perjury in court. Is dis wat u mean by \"瞄视法庭\"?

Unlike other criminal cases whereby the prosecution witnesses are also witness themselves, CS in this case is also a potential accused. She is probably offered a chance to escape charges by agreeing to testify against NGB as 污点证人。

Whether CS will be charged for telling lies in her statement, it will all depends. She was probably being treated as an accused person previously as well when the statement is recorded. Can we criminalise someone who lied in her statement in the hope of getting off the hook?
