I think if u conditional promote at year one to year two .

If cannot make the cut at year 2 u will be made to repeat

Are there many students given conditional promotion? Are there students who cannot make the grade after conditional promotion ask to leave the school?

For such cases, what are the options for those cannot cope with higher Chinese?

Hope someone can enlighten me on these issues. Thanks.

Hi anyone knows if English teachers give a list of recommended books for students to read to improve their english?

They would recommend a list of books to read, but not specifically to improve English. I would feel, the best is read news articles, commentory and opinions section. And get back to the basic, look out for the difficult words, find the mening and memorize them.
