Anyone know what the chances are like for those kids who wish to enter at K1 level but have not been to LSK’s preschool before and have no siblings in LSK either? is it also must queue overnight to get a place? How many places are there for such children?

You may have to call the school at 62833373 to check if you can put your child on waitlist. There are no more vacancies to what I saw from the website. Perhaps those registering in 2013 for Pre-Nursery classes commencing in 2014 will stand a chance to study in this school. Very rarely do parents withdrew children from the school. Once out, it's difficult to get in because you will be on the waitlist.

Cmeilim, agree with sembgal, you should just call the school and check, put ur kid on waiting list. Who knows they may just call you should there be a vacancy. My nephew got in during mid k1. LSK is a great school. Can see the passion in the principal n teachers.

Registration seems to have been brought forward this year to early March. This school available vacancies are in high demand.

From my child’s conversation with me from time to time, I realised that my child is in a clique and she shares that in their group, if one person does not like a particular girl, they will not talk to her. I asked her why? She said that teacher only likes that girl. Oh my gosh, my child comes back saying things like that girl is always the leader. I really pity that child. I always thought forming clique will start only in primary school but never did I expect it to happen in a kindergarten.

Semgal: Do the teachers know abt this? Does this reflect anything negative abt the sch teaching?

As a parent to a K2 child, I believe in allowing my child to problem-solve on her own now. just have to teach what is right and what is wrong. Values are taught in the school. Perhaps this clique thing is happening in other preschools too. Parents have to sit down and listen to what the child says. K2 children are capable of regurgitating what happens in school, what the teacher says and what is happening in the class.

Expect a queue to be forming overnight before/on 1 April 2014. That is how popular this kindergarten is in recent years.

                        Hi,

I am interested in registering my son for N2 at LSK in 2015. However, I have absolutely no affiliation to the church so thus I will be under the last phase. I don't think I will be able to start Q'ing overnight or even at say 6 am in the morning. What are the chances of getting a place if I start Q'ing at 9am? Anyone had previous experience to share?
                        Thanks in advance 🙂
