It was stated in the sealed envelope. Please look through the 1st printed page, ie the page before the form that required to fill up the 6 choices and 3rd language.

        Becontented,

Really ! I did not notice that. Will check again when I get back home tonight.

Do you need to do anything about it ? Or we need to do the registration on S1 registration day ?
That's the power of KSP 😉
For 3rd language, deadline is over. Supposed to be same submission timeframe as the 6 choices.
For HMT, my understanding is to apply during the S1 registration day.

            Dear Parents,

The PSLE T-Score is just a number.

Transition from primary to secondary education depends highly on the maturity and built of the mental physique.

Many parents attempt to put their kids in top schools based solely on the T-Score achieved for this FY2012. And this is not a good directive to depend solely upon to seek out a institution of higher learning.

If the kid is not self-motivated or armed with the right aptitude, he or she will be easily demoralised when the goals previously set are not readily met.

            For your thoughts @Poet2010

@poet2010. Agree but are there cases where one go into a top school and fallout half way thru the study…due to aptitude issues?

Just to add about the spotlight on NYPS.

Personally, I take the exceptionally excellent results this year to be from the \"hunger\" factor. No one made the top list last year and hence the school really wanted to prove its might.

Motivation is a very important factor in achieving success.
the principal's never talked about making to the top. they don't need the top student to prove who they are as a school. they know where they stand and there is lots of emphasis that the great majority must do well, not just the top few

teachers teaching the best class also teaching the bottom class

was just looking at stats from 1995, 1996 ....they have been pretty consistent with the % of quality passes of A & A*, no different from today

Yeah. In SCGS if you don't do well enough you will be either retained (doesn't happen often) or transferred to NA in another school since SC only offers Express (starting from next year IP also).

However in schools such as Hwa Chong and other IP schools there are usually 1 or 2 classes reserved for the weakest students that also take O levels despite being in IP. They only kick you out if you're really that bad.

I thought Scgs has duo track, my dd did nt take on their CO even tho I wanted her too cos thought that if she cant cope in Ip, then can switch to O levels instead.
Other colleges like NJC do ask the child to transfer out if their marks are below standard too. I dont know whether they have classes for the weaker ones like Hwa Chong.

                        Hi all,

Most only notice the the top list in Nyps. But I witness my neighbor’s child who was posted to a neighborhood sec school last year. Both the child n mother were depressed. They distance themselves from neighbors nowadays.

My niece’s schoolmate at scgs, also come from Nyps. For three years, this girl never brief a word of where she came from. Finally, at the end of sec3, my niece discovered that she is a geppers from Nyps. Till now, this girl still feel depressed…sad right.
