PSLE COP 2009

pinky88:
Last year, the COP for RI was 262 while that for HCI was 259. Both dropped by 2 pts.
What a surprise, RI COP only 259?Fairy:
COP for 2009
RGS 260
NYGH 263 (with bonus pt from HMT)
RI 259
HCI 257 (with bonus pt from HMT)
Well, I'm not surprised by HYGH's higher COP as compared to RGS as I've predicted this.
RGS' drop is more shocking. If RGS does not buck up on its PR, it will continue to drop. It ought to be more humble & put in more effort to promote the school and communicate with potential parents/students instead of assuming that the high scorers will automatically choose RGS as thier school of choice. -

You check their website or call them up?
Called MOE hotline. tel:68722220Fairy:
The RI 259 may be DSA, so need to check carefully.
COP does not include those from DSA, strictly those from Central Posting.
Anyway, the info is from MOE. -
Sorry everyone, very busy now, will update first post in the afternoon! Please bear with me for a few more hours! Meanwhile, please keep this thread going…

I agree with Fairy. It seems fewer people are applying for RGS now. NYGS should have a higher COP…

My friend's son 259, got into RI through S1 posting. So there is a drop of 3 points this year.
My son got into ACS(I) 256. I am still waiting to know if he has got into IB.
I saw a post on 257 getting into NJC. Anyone lower than 257 got into NJC. I want to consider appealing to NJC, if my boy is not offered IB at ACS(I).
Please advice :?:
