      Hello all,

We’re considering the Patong Beach area but would love feedback from people who’ve been there.

      Thanks,
      Rick

        Hello Community,

Phuket is an island and a province in the south of Thailand in the Andaman Sea. Phuket is Thailand's largest island, and it is connected to the mainland by a bridge. Phuket has been developed as a major tourist vacation and resort destination and has several cheap hotel that provide central locations, impressive amenities and affordable prices. Phuket is located in the South of Thailand and is one the most popular beach areas in the country. Visitors visit Phuket for the golfing, world-class diving, beaches and eco-adventures that are offered on the island. The commercial center in Phuket has numerous stores and concessions providing visitors with excellent shopping and a chance to test their bargaining skills. Phuket has some reliable hotels that are situated right on the beach. The island of Phuket is a small leaf shape dangling off the Southern region's westside, looking ready to drop off the Kingdom of Thailand. There are bridges connecting its northern tip to the mainland. Starting in the northwest and proceeding counterclockwise around the south, the beaches and towns awaiting your tourism are Mai Kao Beach, Nai Thon Beach, Bang Tao Beach, Patong Beach, Karon Beach, Kata Beach, Nai Harn Beach, Chalong Bay and Phuket Town.

        Best Regards,
        Rick Warren :thankyou:

Any recommendations for a good 4-star hotel at Patong area in Phuket for a couple without kids?

We just got back from Phuket. We stayed at Milliennium Hotel, phuket. It’s right next to a huge, rather new shopping centre, Jungcyelon, and a 10min walk to the beach. The hotel is rather nice and clean and right in the centre of Phuket.

Thanks for the review. I think Milliennium is around Patong area, and there seems quite a handful of good reviews about the hotel.

We also had a short trip to Phuket recently. We stayed at Karon Beach as we felt that Patong Beach is not that suitable for children.

One thing I must say about the tours that we booked in Phuket. They are quite punctual about their stated timing. Quite impressed.

Anyone here who has been to Phuket had gone to Khao Lak? Please share your experience for Khao Lak.

                  TIA.

                    Hi JR,
We have never stayed at Karon, but heard that it is a nice place to stay in Phuket. So far, only stayed at Bang Tao Bay and Mai Khao area, and both are quite far from Patong. Where did you stay at Karon? In what way was it good for the kids? TIA!

My family stayed in Le Meridien Phuket in 2011. It has a huge pool and a nice beach right infront of the resort. We enjoyed our stay there.

Check the Sea shell museum, it is interesting to explore all kinds of different sea shells and you get to buy some cool things.
