If I don't remember wrongly, you mentioned in one of your post that Li Ning's 13 yo son is in RV.

I am curious about your view on this issue.

Personally, I don't see this as a negative. Li Ning, as an accomplished billionaire can well afford $100k annual school fees for his son in any good world class private schools. If he has really chosen RV, I think is a testimony for the school's excellence rather than a negative.

I am only against the school’s overly commercialization of the brand; I am surprised that it is sanctioned by MOE. As to the son who is in the school is not the context of the issue.

Of course it is beneficial for the school to have strong and dedicated Alumni; it is through its Alumni that ultimately make a school great!

HCI done the right thing to kick him out of their school early in his career, however, the RV alumni sitting in the board must certainly be all sleeping and let this guy trash the good name of the school.

The alumni of a government school unlike independent school has no admin power to negotiate with MOE for a principal candidate. That is one of the shortcoming of a government school.

HCI managed to discontinue his contract because an opportunity arised due to implementation of IP...no school will veto MOE under normal circumstances.

The new P has a tough job to do. I am looking forward to a better year for RV under her leadership.

Wonder if there'll be any changes to the iPAD programme. As a parent, I am against the programme. It has caused more harm than benefits to my child, and created more work for me. Just wonder how many parents out there having problems managing their children on the proper use of iPAD? :frustrated:

Great to hear that! But I heard that her English isn't too good? She has strange pronunciation for some words?? Not sure if my source can be trusted though ... :roll:

Daisy, Maybe your dd can help to 'rate' the 3 Ps later on. For some reason, the younger kids have grown to like Mr Koh and haven't adjusted to the style of the new P. Hopefully, their attitude will change with time.
