Hi guys,
My girl is in year 1. She got problems with her Maths using the 7th edition from ShingLee. Are there tuition that can help? Any recommendations near Bedok Area?

It has been a month and Iβve not seen my DD so happy and eager to go to school.

My dd enjoys herself too! They are helping each other and everyone in the group will contributes helps for the project given. My dd also share with me things happened during lesson. Although tired and loaded with homework, No complains ! I am very happy to see her changes! Self motivated.
Thanks to the teachers and thanks to all the hardworking students of IP1. -

So far no problems with school work?
My child seems to be having difficulty with Science, Geography, Maths. -

I think it is normal for our DCs to face some difficulty as:So far no problems with school work?

- it is a jump from P6 to Sec 1 after all
- new subjects/ new syllabus
- this is just the beginning
I would not be too worried. I really want to wean DD from tuition/enrichment and for her to be an independent learner. The bigger picture is her A level results at the end of 6 years. As in her primary school days, I'll keep reminding myself that it's ok to lose a few battles as long as you win the war. Hence, I'm giving her time to manage and will only use \"helplines\" if she really needs it. These are the teething stage. After all, I don't expect her to have tuition in her tertiary days to come, right?
In primary school, tutors and parents fill the \"gap\". I would like her to fill her own gaps now e.g. reading up, asking her peers, seniors and practising all she has learnt.
She claims the teachers teach and guide a lot more here. So I'm :xedfingers: that in time to come, she'll get past the unsteady walking stage and start sprinting again.
Just keep encouraging our DCs to keep at it. -
