      SAHM Chew:
Is it in the basket or below the basket at the base?.

      in the basket
      SAHM Chew:
And is it difficult to wash the base n basket if I use it to cook chicken? As the oil will be at the base and may be harden.
I usually asked my helper to soak it in soapy hot water for abt 15-30 min. then scrapped off sticky bits of chicken using a toothbrush or the green scouring pad.

I find the airfryer most perfect for cooking chicken. Crispy all round & juicy tender meat even for the breastmeat. It has completely replaced my oven for roasting chicken. 😄

Got my airfryer. Try it out with half a chicken @ 180C for 38mins including preheating time. Crispy skin and the meat was tender. Just that the breast meat was too dry. Will try next time with chicken thigh instead.

can we put some oil into the chicken, before placing into airfryer ?
is oil allowed ? does it taste better, if put some oil ?

I got a white color at $245. Understand that the stocks are running low at big brothers stores. Some big brothers do not even have any stock.

This is no need for any more oil. It uses the fats to crisp the skin. So putting extra oil doesn't help at all. In fact, you will see the chicken oil collecting at the base. Just marinade the chicken well, throw in & enjoy! 😄

BTW, for catching that perfect time, you have to trial & error. For me, I cooked for only 20-22 min at 200 degrees C (I don't bother to preheat). Different pp like their chicken texture differently. If using oven, I'd have cooked for 185 degrees for only 32 min. Using an airfryer, you will find cooking time shorter.
