      cherrygal:
Where did you buy the disposable soup pouches? Do you wash the ingredients before putting into the pouches?

Was thinking of doing such preparation in advance to minimise my hands exposure to water.
From Daiso.Sometx can find fr. Chinese herbs shop...

I wash the pouch(with ingredients in it) b4 dumping it into the soup.

If i am not lazy,I'll wash the pouch(together wf ingredients in it)& soak it overnight(remember to put it into the fridge). Then the next morning,i just put the pouch into the soup, together wf the pre-soak water.Don't throw away the water.Anyway, the water is not dirty, coz oredi washed the pouch b4 we soak, right?

Later,I'll pm the picture of pouch.

Other than using the usual ikan bilis, soy beans or dried dates for boiling soup. Can try dried figs too. Quantity to be used depends on the size of the figs and amount of soup. Dun use too much or else it will become dessert sweet.

Was using dried figs to make pear soup previously for dd’s cough and thought why dun try 2-3 figs when boiling old cucumber, winter melon soup etc…
Comes out the soup taste just as good.

Since I started this tingkat, first month we just experimented.

2nd month, I changed the Tue menu to the ‘special’.

From Mar, I changed from 4 dishes to 3 dishes + 1 soup…certain dishes some days are really wasted.

Hopefully we are comfortable with the last change. Delivery time is reasonable…430pm. I cook rice at 6pm, so that something is hot even though dishes are still warm when we eat at 630.

Bitter gourd soup cooked with red dates and dried scallops are also fantastic. My family addicted to it including my 2 kids!
