What they said is that so far no case of human to human. These of the first few cases of this type of bird flu having spread to human, another word virus has mutated.

Incidentally, in Korea they are screening a drama called โ€˜the virusโ€™. About some people intentionally mutated a type of bird flu, creating an outbreak for $$$

SHANGHAI: The death toll from H7N9 bird flu in China reached 10 on Thursday with another victim in Shanghai, as cities banned people from raising chickens at home to try to contain the outbreak.

China has confirmed 38 human cases of H7N9 avian influenza after announcing on March 31 that it had found the strain in people for the first time....

Many schools are sending their students to China this June. I am worried about the ones going, and I am equally concerned when they come back to school.

Schools/ MOE and parents are usually very careful. If there are outbreak in surrounding area, I think they will call off those trips. Kids' school was planning for Japan but due to the earthquake, radiation, etc... they dropped the idea.

The school is planning a trip to HK at year end for some competition/ exchange.... Wonder if due to outbreak they will cancel it.

Frankly... for me to go to Shanghai for business trip now, I am also feeling :nailbite: One of my colleagues had flu after coming back from China and had to go through 2 course of antibiotic. Heard her family got it too. Subsequently another who didn't go but is close to this person got it and she is on mc.

Dd was having stomach flu recently and she probably got it from her friends. Doc said it is airborne.

Schools usually ask parents to fill in a form to find out travel plans during the school holidays.

BEIJING โ€” A man in the northeastern Chinese province of Shandong has been infected by a new strain of bird flu, the first case found in the province, state news agency Xinhua said today, bringing the total number of infected victims in China to 105.

The H7N9 virus has killed 20 people in China. But it is not clear how people are becoming infected and the World Health Organization (WHO) says there is no evidence of the most worrying scenario - sustained transmission between people......

Shanghai's drop in new cases is a good sign.
