Hey this is news to me. I ask for plain kaya and think that is damage control. Dont tell me kaya too is hig fat ? 😢

by the way is the butter used in Ya kun proper butter, right?

Kaya is very high in sugar. But that once in a while couple of slices of bread with a teaspoon or so of kaya is fine lah.

Just dun do what my staff did when I made kaya and brought to the office. She ate it straight out of the bottle. Finished 1/2 a bottle in 1 seating.

      Not only sugar.

It is made using eggs and coconut, which are high in cholesterol and saturated fat.

Kaya is a very sinful delicious treat[/quote]In that amount you spread on the bread, you will not be eating a whole egg. Verdict is out on whether coconut is good or bad. I lean towards bad. Way I see it, the sugar is a killer. Cos you are getting way more than 1tsp of sugar in that 1 tsp of kaya.

But again, once in a while. Ok. Cannot deprive ourselves of everything also lah. Or else eating is such a chore.

1 egg yolk contains 270mg of cholesterol, and the recommended daily intake of cholesterol is to keep below 300mg.

Went for my morning run. Dunno why, the usual 5km feels much tougher today.

            Not enough sleep ?

Maybe. Not been sleeping well due to the acid reflux problem I am having now.

Come to think of it, could also be cos I have not been as regular in my morning runs the last 2 weeks and my stamina is down. Haiz build up stamina tough, but to lose it, so easy.
