Not sure. The 3/5 years MOP looks like general clause and need not be valid for people who subsequently oen private props.

The above was quoted from hdb…so better check with hdb coz there are clauses that state that hdb is not for revenue generstion.
Singapore Citizen flat owners and occupiers must continue to stay in their HDB flat after the purchase of the private residential property unless prior approval from HDB is obtained to sublet the whole flat.

They are allowed to rent out whole flat and move into their condos after they have met the MOP (3 or 5years depending when they bought their flats).
So why they can keep both hdb & condo if they owned the hdb first but the reverse if not allowed? :?

Cos if u had purchased a condo first, the assumption is u've already hit the income ceiling when u got married or u can jolly well afford a pte condo, so kindly stick to your pte ppty and leave the subsidised housing to those who truly need it and don't mess with the prices. :rotflmao:

I pity Minister Heng...cleaning the sh-t someone created 4 yrs ago that I pray hard will not come back to haunt the same person again in the coming GE.

Good question! Must ask those policy makers. :siao:

I also advice my sister to get a HDB first, 5 years later then go for her condo.

I have a few relatives doing that, using the rental from their HDB flats to offset their condo mortgage loans. One of them owned 3 condos

anyway, besides this, I'm most impressed by the long, narrow and dark corridor of Pasir Ris One. Some gates cannot be open concurrently!

                  It's really quite bad.

But must check purchase history. Started with hdb and then upgrade to condo. Sold HDB cos can only afford one at that time. After certain number of years, can afford 2. So want to get hdb and rent out. Why discriminate? Also trying to get passive income for old age.

Remember few years back the HDB price was really quite high..it's something like double of the previous low.

Is the most narrow walkway pic the actual DBSS project? Oh dear..that is so depressing. It reminds me of those low cost flat in Jurong many many years ago.
