      CJM:
      Joel & Ramah have the same amount of money. After Ramah gave $52 to Joel, Joel had twice as much as Ramah. How much money did each of them have at first.

      In the end:

      Joel = 2x
      Ramah = x

      Before the transfer:

      Joel = 2x - $52
      Ramah = x + $52

      2x - $52 = x + $52

      2x = x + $104
      therefore: x = $104

      So, in the beginning: they each had: $104 + $52 = $156

      Hope that helped šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚

        a) How much flour did Sally use?
        b) How much flour did Delson have at first if he had 900g of flour left?

            Hi Tianzhu,
            Your solution is so beautifully done. Not just mathematically but also artistically. May I know how did you so that?!
