I do tui na and ba guan once a month as it helps me to get rid of water retention and I sleep better at night. It’s painful but the after effects is totally worth it.

Yes, guasha can be perform on children, but with clothes on. I have done with my 2 older kids before. But I use very little strength and they have their clothes on. Do find that after doing guasha for them when they have high fever, they feel better too.

Wow, chloecube, you are impressive, do your own facial gua sha. I have not tried that before myself. Maybe I should look into it too.

heard that gua sha must also use the correct \"tools\" cant anyhow get a comb n do it right?

Not true. Before the market start selling those guasha board, my mum used either bowl or spoon to do guasha for my dad. This method of getting rid of toxins has been used for a long long time. Just that with better technology, now has those board which makes guasha more easily and can do on face etc.

But something to note, if you are doing guasha for your spouse, please do not stand right behind your spouse. You should be standing at the side of your spouse. Reason being when you do guasha for the person, there will be 'qi' moving around the person. Some of these 'qi' is not so good so don't spolit your own body. And don't let your kids stand behind your spouse to see the process as it is not good.

I think some people do facial gua sha when they apply facial mask, especially those cream mask that need to be placed on the face for a while.
