heehee.........We love to entertain friends and family so it makes sense to buy proper serving dishes sets than using disposable trays.Hi Sar Char

Once my friends asked me who is the catering service?
I bought the serving dishes from Metro Department store few years back. Metro has much nicer designs now. I also have a glass stand to serve ham or cake and a nacho/dip plate. All other salad bowl or dishes are only in clear glass so that it will look more uniform on table.
I bought the table cloth from Spotlight. This year my guests started attacking the food before I had a chance to add trimming and candles to the table setting! So I just let it be..... -
SarChar:
haha your food must be very nice. I shall go check it out at metro.

Wow ! SarChar , what a spread !! So sumptous ! You cook all these ?? We used to have regular makan sessions where all daugthers and dils cooked up a storm with my mil; everyone enjoyed the makan sessions.
Yes I cooked everything except the ham, satay & sushi. After the party, I took more than 3 days to recover!
Why do you say you \"used to\" have makan sessions?[/quote]
Hi SarChar, due to additional family member (new sil),things changed drastically. sil is very er... insincere typed of person, always very sarcastic towards everyone. all my other sils (DH's sisters) also felt the same way too.Well, don't know intentionally or ortherwise.
Prefer not to cook at mil place as all the cooking made a mess in the hse (btw she is staying with mil). So to prevent family hormony , we take turns to host makan session or eating out. 3 yrs now, still the same. Keeping a certain distance from her is for the best of everyone :siam:
Btw, I like all the utensils you have... I love buying all my utensil in white .. Collecting my wares now, slowly buying one pc by one pc...Hopely my inventory be like yours soon.... :xedfingers: -
good reminder for me to be strong for him when he needs me most....
