Hello Funz, 30+ people is a big group too! You are really good if you can coordinate 30+ people to agree on a single itinerary.

Actually I dont split my time between our parents, I prefer to go to my MIL house šŸ˜‰ My parents are very understanding. Dinner events are planned accordingly to DH family's schedule. Thats why I always tell DH he is very LUCKY to marry me because I have high EQ. :rotflmao:
Hehe, BIL is in the tourism industry. So he is the one who does all the planning and co-ordinating. I just tag along. As for the rest, they like that there is no need for them to go hunting around for packages, having to follow a group filled with strangers and inflexible itinerary. Yup, 30+, cos it is not just the immediate in-laws but also the uncles and aunties in-law.

            Sun_2010:

When your son sees this often, he will imbibe it too. And if he likes it maybe once in a way , he can spend his time too with her doing his thing.
Yes, Sun_2010, hopefully we can all set by example...:)

Now I am not sure if it is EVERYONE..... :imcool:

For growing old together, I am very scared of being the last one standing with 22 kids. DH is 8 yrs older. Eldest BIL is 21 yrs older......I am the youngest DIL.

I worry about having to go through 20+ funerals and then having to grieve all of them. DH thinks I am being silly n emo here.

DH once said \" at least after a few times, you will know what to do (to prepare the wake) \" 😢

He also said \"finally you can sit the red table!\" :scared: meaning as each IN-LAW finally passes away, it will soon be my turn to sit at the red table during wedding dinners of our 22 kids's children. So lame, my DH.

I like how your DH turned a grim topic into such a light-hearted one. This one needs special talent you know? šŸ˜‰

Hi SarChar, I have heard this saying that 1 mother can take care of 10 children but not all 10 children can take care of 1 mother. Obviously that is not the case in your big family and it is so nice to know how well you all get along! Both of your parents are truly blessed!

I asked my one and only 15 year old child/son whether he will take care of and live with me if I am alone. He says see how and what his wife says!!!! My dh says he's too young and i should not be bothered by the answer!

He is just giving you a very honest answer. Most of us busy with our own families & don't stay with parents or in laws. Even if your boy takes care of you when you grow old, you still need to have
your own friends & keep yourself occupied when he is busy with work.
