If they are building a new one, does it then mean some classroom space will have to go ? or do they have space provisioned for this expansion? :?

not sure if the school has decided certain levels (Pri 1 &/or 2) will go into afternoon session in order to maintain the intake size. There is no more option of renting the old Farrer Pri School which has been converted into a hostel now -
So it means the intake will not cut for next year registration?

I am NOT school admin, I am not sure of their thinking
The last time I was in the meeting with parents, no such idea was floated
It is unthinkable for NYPS to reduce the intake...even when they had to operate two campuses last time
Yes, it did \"reduce\" intake to the current 390 due to MOE requirement of max class size of 30 for P1 & P2 instead of 40. If remember correctly, the cut was 50 places...instead of 11 classes of 40, it is now 13 classes of 30....and at P4 onward it will be about 4 classes x 25 (GEP) and 9 or 10 classes x 40plus (mainstream), giving a P6 cohort of 460+ ~ 500.... -
Thanks, I think NYPS won't reduce the intake too... but it's just that many are worried about the building of the sports hall might affect the intake....will wait & see when the registration come
