Hi
Anyone has children that is in p6 this year?thanks -
Hi Taymeister,
My girl is enjoying her past few years there. Homework not a lot for her class(though homework varies among classes). More importantly, she has been having encouraging form teachers.
The school will rank the girls according to their math results at the end of each year. The first 60 to 80 girls(P1 math result at 95 marks and P2 at least 90 marks for my girl’s batch), will go to the 2 so called better classes, which most parents believe that they will receive better teachers.
Personally, I am happy that some of the teachers take effort to remind the girls to behave well, to sit and stand properly etc when they are out on trips. -
I’m intending to enrol my gal to Marymount in 2010 too! But I’m staying out of 2km away from sch… Is there sch bus operating in the sch? How are the charges like?? Do they pick up kids after CCA? Haiz…

HI Autumn,
Shouldn’t be a problem if you register her under 2C as it usually has more than enough to go till 2C(S). For primary 1 and 2, CCA is not compulsory though encourage, you have to arrange own transport. For Primary 3 onwards(morning session), there is a 430pm bus to send the girls home after CCAs(most end by 415pm), usually on Tuesday or Friday. Though the time taken to reach home may be longer as only 2 buses are operating for the 430pm trip.
No additional payment for taking the 430pm or 630pm(certain CCAs end late) bus but you would have to call bus operator to check rates for your place. -
From Primary 3 onwards, most classes have supplementary classes on Tuesday, ending 230pm or 330pm. As I do not want my girl to wait another hour for the 430pm bus, I pick her up.
