Hi All, Is anyone sending their daughter to MaryMount from Tampines -

it is 13km so wondering how difficult it is for kids. is there any school bus?

I am staying in Tampines and considering
      1)Tampines Primary
      2)Changkat Primary and
      3)Marymount school.
      Any suggestion?
First, call up Marymount school, ask for Sch bus driver telephone number.

If no school bus fetch your dd from Tampines to Marymount, then forget about Marymount.
If no Sch bus, how is yr dd going to school everyday ?

There is a high chance that no Sch bus fetch kids from Tampines so far

Hi, perhaps you can call up MCS to ask about bus transport to Tampines. General office number is 62566701. The helpful receptionist should be able to assist you with that. You can get the bus driver contact number from her to liaise directly about pick up time and drop off time. You need to confirm that there is a school bus serving your area before you register.

Oops! Haha, sorry, I thought your DD was registering for this year...

Still, it's amazing how our DDs are having so much fun! Really happy to make the choice for a gals' school. 😄

2 applicants' withdrawal resulted the available vacancies being raised from 161 to 163 vacancies for Phase 2C. As of 1 Aug 2014, 121 applicants registered for Marymount Convent School at Phase 2C.

Yesterday's closing figure was 71. Difference between 121 and 71 showed that 50 applied in Marymount Convent today during Phase 2C.

Congrats to the 121 applicants who applied in Phase 2C. You made the right choice! :congrats:

                  42 vacancies available for Phase 2C (163-121=42)

Wonder if any parent can share the good and bad points about Marymount Convent.

So far I read good reviews but am concerned about academic standard , are the students we’ll behaved, how are the teachers?

Perhaps would prefer to hear from Upper primary parents in P5, P6 about the P5 and P6 teachers, amount of homework, quality standard of teaching, or from parents whose children had already graduated, recently.

Marymount offer Higher Chinese from P4 or P5 ?

Have a friend who is interested in enrolling her dd here, but need to know how the Upper primary Psle results are like.

Anyone have the latest last year 2013 or 2012 PSLE Marymount results breakdown :
                      - % of students entered Secondary 1 Express stream ?

                      - % of students scored 250 and above ?

                      - % of students scored between 240 into 249, inclusive of end points ?

                      - Quality Percentage passes for PSLE 4 subjects (English, Maths, science, Chinese, higher Chinese) ?

Just curious, is PSLE results the main/only consideration when choosing a school? Would a couple of percentage points in such stats make a difference?
