PE is normal PE lesson which happens 4 days out of the 5 days

CCA = ECA. It is optional. 😄

        mutree:
my girl end up not wearing her pinafore except the very first day of p1 as her only non pe day falls on her cca day which requires her to wear pe attire. May consider buying a bigger pinafore so that she can wear for p2 as well.

May i ask a question? I did not go thru primary sch in singapore.i remember my teachers used to make me memorize time table. My girl's Teacher is teaching multiplication and division now for p1 without teaching her the timetable. When will they be asked to memorize the timetable? Or there is no need for that?
        Thks!
Hi mutree. As modular curriculum falls on Wednesday, it is advisable to refer to Modular Curriculum timetable to take note of the activities that your dd is participating in. If there is no outdoor modular curriculum, usually I will let my dd wear pinafore on Wednesday. If there is outdoor modular curriculum, I will let my dd put on her PE attire on Wednesday. Every term, there will be certain Wednesdays that there are no Modular Curriculum lessons so you can let your dd wear pinafore on those Wednesdays. You have to refer back to Modular Curriculum timetable.

As for the pinafore, I only had the sides of the pinafore altered to make it less wide. The length was not altered as I expect a growth spurt for my dd. The original length was below her knees when the pinafore was purchased last year. Currently, the pinafore is above her knees.

          Hi

I think if your daughter understands what multiplication and division means and is able to apply what she has learnt, there is no harm learning the timetables if she is willing and has a good memory.
In fact knowing the timetables well will help her later on .

My daughter’s tutor has taught her multiplication and she is able to learn the timetables as she has a good memory

Hi I’m new here. I’m interested to register my girl in mcs next year for 2016 intake. But my hb is concern about the distance as she will need to travel (school bus) from yishun/sembawang area. Any parents in this area? How are your girl(s) coping with the distance?

              Hi,

Can anyone able to advise the following.

              1. When will my daughter receive her time table?
              2. On orientation day, where can I park if self-drive to school?

              Thank you.

I called the school last week to ask if we can park at the school, the admin staff said they will open up more lots in the school for parking, but subject to availability.

Just dropping by to say hello as my girl will be in P1 next year.

I have some questions which I hope someone kind will enlighten me.

                      1) What is being taught in Value Education? We are not Catholic
                      2) Are there CCA for P1?
                      3) I understand that it will go single session next year. Does anyone know what the hours are like? Just wondering if I should put her in student care.

And oh, I’ve already gone down and bought her uniforms. No crowd so easier. They will do alteration when they sew on the name tag. i didn’t realize that even the socks have the school’s crest. Me kiasu and bought 5 sets.

Thanks all! And looking forward to the orientation next week.

                        Hi,

The P1 orientation will be held at the current premises or holding school?
