“ Ranking by academic excellence (by KSP)” - based on certain criteria stated (read), the ranking amongst the schools you’re interested is :-
(may still hold true today, give you an idea)
31. White Sands
36. Pasir Ris
45. Casurina
46. Gongshang
59. Meridien
86. Elias Park
113. Chongzheng
can’t find Loyang nor Park View primary.

Anyone konws about PV in PASIR RIS primary ? From the website , it is said 2014 Jan to May will start PV for children born in 2008. But is that too late? How can parents complete their min required hours before 2014 P1 registration ?

Hi all,
I stay in Loyang Valley, my son is turn 6 next yr hence would like to seek opinions on the 2 schools within 1 km to my place.
Pasir Ris Primary and White Sands Primary?
I would like to have a strong culture or sense of belonging rather than based on academic results.
I hope parents can share experiences based on the 2 students.
regards,

I am hoping for parents who had compared these 2 schools before and why they made such decisions for the school they chosen.
I am hoping for a school with swimming as a Core CCA but these 2 schools do not have.

Pasir Ris Pri is the choice if you would like a balanced of both academics and non-academics.
PRPS has a longer history and an established culture both academically and in other holistic areas. Their sports teams and aesthetics groups have won various awards consistently over the years. For instance, Just look at their \"Achievements\" listed in their school website.

Every year, the school also holds their annual Sing Singapore competition and without fail, our current DPM will be in attendance. It's the effort of the pupils and their teachers to put up a show for their schoolmates, parents and residents. Hence, it's a highlight in their calendar.
White Sands has been focusing a lot on academic achievements. To be fair, it is a younger school, hence, you cannot expect it to be deeply entrenched in their culture at this juncture but if you're looking at registering your son for the coming year, then, PRPS is the number 1 choice.SWIMDAD:
